Shoot Prep 101

So, I thought I'd create this page just for you to help with any questions you might have regarding how to best be prepared for your shoot! So many men and women ask me these questions everyday and they truly are an integral part of the shoot process to ensure you get the best value out of your shoots - hope this helps!

HMU

Hair and makeup is one of my non-negotiables when it comes to recommendations for shoot prep and achieving a polished look with your finalised images. Find my go-to girls in the industry below that I work with quite regularly and can't reccomend enough to help with all your hair and make up needs:

  • Mikki Auld Hair (@mikkiauldhair)

  • Sarah Neill Hair (@sarahneillhair)

  • Reanin Glah (@reanin.glah)

  • Bridget Manning (@bridgetmanning)

  • Kate Devlin (@katedevlin)

STYLING

Feeling confident in front of the camera can feel so much easier when you don't have to stress about what you should be wearing. l<errie and Jenni are two amazing Brisbane stylists that can help you prepare for your shoot utilising what you have in your wardrobe currently or sourcing options from new seasonal stock I personally tend to find that linens and block colours work really well and particular patterns. I always suggest to clients that they should bring at least a minimum of 4 outfit changes and options per hour shoot

BRIEFS

To ensure we make the most of your time when shooting it's important that your monthly shoot briefing form is filled out a week prior to your shoot date. I also require a specific shot list from clients now prior to arriving on site for shoots - this is to ensure we are ticking specific things off that you need and working from a list to ensure everything is included! If you're not exactly sure what you need we can work on this together. I also can't stress enough how helpful inspo images are as a visual cue and can help if you have any worries regarding posing.
